THR reports that a U.S. District Court granted the New York group summary judgment over TufAmerica because judge Alison Nathan found that the plaintiff “never acquired an exclusive license to the copyrighted material.”

It’s not a victory for copyright law so much as a legal snafu in which TufAmerica lacked the standing to file this particular lawsuit.
